Locally Produced Feature Film “Susquehanna” In The News

West Pittston native and recent University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts graduate Jon YonKondy put the finishing touches on the DVD screener for his film “Susquehanna” this weekend before shipping it off to the Sundance Film Festival in hopes of being selected.   Susquehanna is a coming of age drama of the character Tommie set in West Pittston in 1995. It was filmed in eleven days  in and around West Pittston in the summer of 2013 using all local talent. Big Idea – Along with JVW Inc. and TwentyFiveEight Studios – all played a part in bringing the film to life.   Click here to read the interview with Jon http://www.psdispatch.com/news/home_top/50371854/Local-film-to-hit-festivals-this-winter

“Because of the cinematic experience and the amateur actors, the audience has never seen anything like it,” he said. “It’s pure naturalistic performances. It’s real because of all this it raises it to another level. I think audiences across the country will see something from their own childhood in this film.”
